Curator Reflection

This book’s focus on death and mortality clearly shaped the individual who read it. This one of only a few objects shared that was markedly related to death and dying. I am deeply curious to know the expanse of other spiritual perspectives on death and dying.

"'Olive’s Ocean' was one of my first outlets to make sense of my spirituality and the meaning of life and death. I first read it when I was around 10 years old, but I’ve read it every year of my adulthood and continue to find comfort and new meaning in it. I love that it isn’t pretentious, and I still see myself in the young narrator wondering the same things we all do about the universe, mortality, and who we are to each other."
